CLASSES FOUND ON OUR SCHEDULE
We are currently working on creating and uploading videos explaining what you can expect in each class. A written explanation is provided, but we have found videos can be helpful for many of our clients when trying to decide on a class.
AWARENESS IN MOVEMENT
Less about flow/ more about building awareness, strength, and maintaining mobility. This class is influenced by both yoga and pilates principles. Modifications offered. How intense this class becomes is up to you. Proper alignment, slow intentional movement, and breathwork are the focus of the full body practice. The seven basic movements of the body (lunge, squat, hinge, push, pull, twist, and gait) will all make an appearance.
DYNAMIC BALANCE
Combining yoga poses and Pilates movements, this class is designed to improve your dynamic balance. The ability to maintain stability and control while the body is in motion or changing position is crucial for everyday activities, preventing falls, and even enhancing athletic performance. Both styles of movement offer unique benefits for enhancing core strength, improving flexibility and increasing body awareness.

RECONNECT/MOBILITY
This class focuses on basic movement principles and helps build a new practice or strengthen an already existing one. Allowing yourself to accept exactly where your body is today will help to create connection and build strength. Sometimes you just feel tired and sore. Sometimes you are coming back from an injury and need to take things slow. Sometimes gentle is exactly what you need.
This class can be taught from a chair position. At times, this class will be taught using a chair as an item of support. This class is inspired by yoga and will involve both standing and seated postures. Holding postures for longer periods of time and focusing on breath will help to find more length in your body. Modifications and props will be used to help support your practice. If you are just starting out on your mat, this is a great place to begin. If you and your mat are old friends, this is a great class to help you deepen your practice and body awareness. |
MINDFUL VINYASA
This class starts off with gentle movements. We will work through two separate sequences -ending with both sequences flowing together. Modifications to support and to deepen will be offered. This class is about listening to your breath and your body and allowing that connection to control your movement. Sometimes we need to push closer to our edge, and sometimes we need to back off. The hardest part of that equation is actually listening.

MAT PILATES
A form of Pilates that uses slow, controlled movements to build strength, flexibility, and core stability. It is performed on a mat and often incorporates props like balls, bands, and weights to enhance the workout. Mat Pilates focuses on improving body awareness and mind-body connection while targeting all muscle groups.

STRETCH & RESTORE
This class is completely floor based.
Think bolsters/towels/blocks and comfy/cozy relaxation. Postures will be held for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes we will seek a stretch and fall into it, and other times we will just fall into it. Clear your mind, let go, and hit the reset. |
VIM MIXED FLOW
This class will be offered by Michelle Fitzgerald. Vim means active strength of body or mind. This beginner friendly vinyasa flow, with modifications offered for mixed level, is designed to strengthen your body and mind. Utilizing breath work and brief meditative practices in connection with movement you will leave this class with a deeper sense of well- being.
